Psychiatric APRN (Inpatient Psychiatry – BayRidge 2 Unit)
Location: BayRidge Hospital
Reports to: Unit Medical Director
Position Summary
BayRidge Hospital is seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join the BayRidge 2 inpatient psychiatry unit. This role provides direct psychiatric care to adult inpatients and works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management of hospitalized patients.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and hospital policy.
- Lead and participate in daily treatment planning with nursing, social work, therapy, and medical colleagues.
- Perform timely documentation in the electronic medical record, supporting quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Participate in admissions, discharges, and transitions of care, including coordination with outpatient providers.
- Support a therapeutic milieu with attention to patient safety, trauma-informed care, and restraint-reduction principles.
- Collaborate closely with the Unit Medical Director and adhere to established clinical and operational workflows.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health APRN program.
- Current APRN licensure and prescriptive authority in Massachusetts (or eligibility).
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred; new graduates with strong training considered.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a team-based environment.

Pay Range:
$113,776.00 USD – $154,752.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
