Per Diem; Based on department needs

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:
1.    Supervises opening &/or closing of Food & Nutrition Services Department; replaces absent personnel as appropriate.
2.    Supervises patient and cafeteria meal delivery & service.
3.    Monitor EPIC and HealthTouch for changes in patients' diet.
4.    Organizes diet office.  Ensures proper flow of information to proper personnel.
5.    Interacts with Clinical Dieticians regarding diet issues or concerns of the patient.
6.    As lead room service operator you'll answer patient calls, assist and process their food orders.
7.    Input special diet requests and non-room service requests into HealthTouch.
8.    Interacts with Cooks & Tray Line staff to ensure timely meal production & delivery.
9.    Oversees daily tray retrieval & clean up, pantry deliveries, cafeteria operations.
10.    Handles cash & runs daily cash register reports.
11.    Work with nursing to assist with requests (food, supplies)

Education/Experience Required:

  • HS Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years food service experience in a healthcare setting. 
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition & diet therapy as evidenced by education &/or work experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
  • Nutrition Education/Supervision coursework preferred.

Registration/Certification:

  • ServSafe within 6 months of employment

Physical/Environmental Requirements

This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving

 

 

Pay Range:

$18.81 – $33.00

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.  The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
