Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Plant Operations, provides a variety of lead maintenance and administrative functions for the Engineering and Maintenance Department and coordinates special projects as assigned.

Monday-Friday
7:00 AM- 3:30 PM

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:

1.    Oversees the assignments and scheduling of the Maintenance Mechanics and assists them in the performance of their work as needed. Escalates issues involving the Maintenance Mechanics to the Assistant director when necessary.
2.    Requisitions and maintains inventory of repair parts for patient transport equipment, Patient TV’s, patient related furniture and other building materials.  Reports inventory to Financial Services.  Maintains equipment as needed.    
3.    Works in conjunction with department Managers, ensuring the proper selection and installation of preferred building materials and other specialty items.
4.    Coordinates maintenance work order assignments on a daily basis. Performs repair/preventive maintenance as needed, or assigned
5.    Provides general renovation and installation services, repairing partitions, ceilings and floors.

6.    Maintains parts inventory and repairs patient TV’s,  patient transport equipment, exam room tables, patient room furnishings, pneumatic tube system equipment, blood pressure equipment, etc.

7.    Coordinates installation (project management) of specific building systems and repairs, i.e. pneumatic tube system
fire stopping, etc.
8.    Provides support to Assistant Director as needed, arranging minor contract repairs and equipment installations.
9.    Provides majority of fire stopping throughout facility and maintains oversight, verifying proper material and
installation by contractors.
10.    Performs general building repairs of partitions, doors, windows, floors, etc. in a neat workmanlike manner. 
11.    Completes required paperwork in a neat and timely manner, i.e. work orders, requisitions, logs and daily report.

21.    Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
    

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).  Vocational/trade school courses preferred.

Licensure, Certification, Registration:   None required

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Working knowledge of building repairs, i.e. carpentry, flooring, Hilti fire stopping techniques, TV cable repair.  Familiar with computer use for equipment/data material search.

Experience:   Four years progressive experience in general building maintenance in a healthcare facility.

 

 

Pay Range:

$31.97 – $43.03

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
