NURSE PRACTITIONER

Job Description:

Provides direct patient care services and augments the physician’s ability to provide medical services to patients by collecting and documenting data, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering lab studies and providing professional consultations.

Utilizes physical assessment skills on an ongoing basis to identify, communicate and document patient problems. Recognizes changes in mental and physical condition.

Obtains detailed history and performs baseline and interval health exams. Completes medical history and physical assessments and differentiates normal results from abnormal findings.

Documents in file – route of medication administration, pertinent observations /reactions on progress notes or section of appropriate flow chart.

Consults with provider as necessary on any patient information effecting patient care and expected outcome of treatment.

Interprets various diagnostic tests including blood tests, MRI, CT scans, EKG’s etc.

Fosters positive communication and cooperation with patients, staff members and providers.

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Minimum Education
MA license in Nursing and graduate of an MS program.

Pay Range:

$117,000.00 USD – $191,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
