What You’ll Do:

Provide Direct, Patient‑Centered Care

  • Deliver safe, effective, and timely nursing care using sound clinical judgment.
  • Assess the healthcare needs of individuals or groups and create personalized care plans.
  • Integrate clinical knowledge with hands‑on experience to support optimal patient outcomes.

Coordinate Care & Support the Care Team

  • Oversee and guide assistive personnel to ensure coordinated, equitable, and efficient care delivery.
  • Identify and leverage resources needed to implement patient care plans.
  • Recognize how environmental and social factors influence patient and family health needs.

Collaborate & Communicate

  • Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to determine care needs and goals.
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with patients and families.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions.
  • Serve as a strong patient advocate.

Grow Professionally

  • Maintain all annual mandatory education, including emergency skills and unit‑specific competencies.
  • Partner with educators or clinical nurse specialists to identify ongoing learning needs.
  • Participate in professional development and may contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Demonstrate Organizational Commitment

  • Uphold the mission and values of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in all aspects of care.
  • Take ownership of your nursing practice and patient safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • License Registered Nurse required.
  • American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certification
  • 1-3 years related work experience required.
  • Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise

 

 

Pay Range:

$37.00 – $95.74

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
