Wellness Counselor

Job Description:

Wellness Counselor – 30 hrs/wk

The Wellness Counselor provides individual support and group facilitation on the adult inpatient psychiatric unit focusing on introducing and strengthening patient coping skills, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, personal growth, and supporting a whole health wellness approach to psychiatric care. Duties include assisting charge nurse as needed for milieu coverage

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree in related field highly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening skills, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.   

  • Ability to assist the program coordinator in the maintenance, organization, reordering, and vetting of patient supplies and wellness areas.

 

 

Pay Range:

$25.00 – $35.00

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
