Holly Creveling – Clinical Pharmacy Manager-Ambulatory/Infusion
Name: Holly Creveling
Job Title: Clinical Pharmacy Manager-Ambulatory/Infusion
Entity: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
What is your role, and what inspired you to join BILH?
My current role is Clinical Pharmacy Manager for Ambulatory and Infusion clinics. I began my journey at BIDMC in 1999 as a pharmacy technician.
How has BILH supported your professional growth or career development (for example, training programs, mentorship, promotions/career advancements, or recognition you’ve received)?
I was hired as a pharmacy technician, and after one year began pharmacy school. BIDMC was very supportive and I remained working at BIDMC during the six years of school. During that time, I applied for and was awarded the Chayet Scholarship three times. After graduation, I was subsequently hired into a Clinical Pharmacist role and after two years, I was promoted to Pharmacy Manager.
How would you describe the culture here based on your day-to-day experience?
The culture at BIDMC is like no other! It is a culture that is felt and is a key driver of the success and longevity of so many employees. For a large academic medical center, it has a hometown and neighborly feel. I enjoy seeing and chatting with other employees and leaders outside pharmacy!
How has BILH supported your professional growth or career development?
From day one, teaching and career advancement were apparent to me. Besides my own journey, I have watched so many others in our organization grow and earn promotions into other roles through my years at BIDMC. Our leadership team at BIDMC is unique and really engaged with all employees!
