The Supply Chain Technician supports daily hospital supply chain operations, including receiving, inventory management, stocking, distribution, and procurement activities. The position will serve as a flexible resource across Supply Chain functions and provide coverage as operational needs require.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across multiple areas of the department and may provide backup support for routine ordering and procurement activities when needed. This position will also assist with coverage for team members during absences and support other Supply Chain functions to ensure continuity of operations.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

· Monitor stock levels and anticipate supply needs to prevent shortages and overstock.

· Implement effective inventory control practices, including the use of first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles.

· Conduct regular audits and physical counts of inventory to maintain accuracy.

· Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure that they match purchase orders and meet quality and safety standards.

· Identify and report and damaged, expired, or recalled items to the Supply Chain Manager.

· Coordinate with hospital departments to fulfill supply requests and ensure the timely and accurate distribution of supplies.

· Ensure that requested supplies meet quality and safety standards.

· Accurately document all procurement and inventory-related activities.

· Maintain organized and up-to-date records of purchases, received shipments, and supply distribution.

· Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of safety and sanitation.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and hospital policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Graduate or Equivalent is required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

· 0-1 years of work experience is required.

Physical, Sensory, and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and handling of materials and equipment.
  • Frequent keyboarding, writing, data entry, and other fine motor activities.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate carts, pallet jacks, dollies, or similar equipment.
  • Visual acuity required for close work, reading, reviewing information, and monitoring equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and observe visual details.
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with customers, patients, and team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize work, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Work is performed in a healthcare, operational, or office environment with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions or hazardous materials.

 

 

Pay Range:

$25.00 – $33.65

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
