Job Description:

The Social Work Manager maintains accountability for the clinical and management functions, as well as monitoring and evaluation activities pertinent to the operation of the department. Emphasis is on the supervision of the staff that is providing supportive counseling and discharge planning through the care coordination process. Care is rendered to age-appropriate populations on each patient care unit. The Social Work Manager is responsible for maintaining established standards, and administrative support and guidance to a department of social workers.  The Social Work Manager is responsible for maintaining ongoing collaborative and collegial relationships with Medical Staff, clinical and support departments. The Social Work  Manager demonstrates clinical skill and competence as necessary.

Scheduled Hours: 40 hour exempt position

Qualifications:

  • LICSW MSW Management experience in SW management
  • SW acute hospital setting preferred
  • Masters Degree in Social Work
  • Five years minimum health care experience
  • Two years supervisory experience       
  • Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
