MRI Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular (5 hours/week on Wednesdays. 10am – 3pm)

Job Description:


The MRI Registered Nurse assists in the MRI department caring for patients with pacemakers, ICDs, and other cardiac devices. The MRI RN reviews physician or advanced practice provider orders related to cardiac devices for MRI, identifies findings during basic device interrogation, assists vendor cardiac device specialists/representatives in placing cardiac devices into an MRI-safe mode for the scan and into a normal mode after the scan according to provider orders, monitors and documents the patient’s hemodynamics and heart rhythm during each scan, assists as needed, and other responsibilities as assigned. 
The MRI RN also works in conjunction with the anesthesia team (anesthesiologist, CRNA, and anesthesia tech) to provide care to and ensure the safety of MRI patients that receive anesthesia/sedation for the MRI scan. 


Education/Experience: 
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
BSN preferred 
Cardiology/telemetry experience required 
Previous electrophysiology experience preferred 
Pacemaker device knowledge preferred 
Certification/License: 
Current Massachusetts RN license required
BLS required
ACLS required
