When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.

Join our team in the state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU), located in the Klarman Building. We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with a master's in nursing or nursing education to advance nursing practice, lead professional development, and support high-acuity cardiac care.

The CICU is a 15-bed unit specializing in the care of patients with acute coronary syndromes, life-threatening arrhythmias, advanced heart failure, and those awaiting heart transplantation. Our team utilizes advanced therapies including IABP, Impella, VA-ECMO, and other mechanical circulatory support devices.

Beyond the day-to-day clinical support, the Nurse Specialist is key in mentoring CICU nurses. From leading onboarding cardiac education to teaching telemetry interpretation classes, they help ensure that nurses have the knowledge and skills to care for high-acuity patients. They also create space for reflection and learning, allowing staff to process challenging cases and build resilience in a demanding environment. The Nurse Specialist is empowered to take on new initiatives that expand the staff’s skillset and raise the level of care provided.
