The Cardiovascular MR Research Center (CMR) in Boston in seeking a strong applicant for the role of Sr. Clinical Research Coordinator. CMR Center, established in 1995, is dedicated to advancing cardiovascular imaging through innovative research and clinical applications.Our research focuses on developing and applying cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging and artificial intelligence (AI)-based solutions to enhance imaging efficiency, quality, analysis, interpretation, and the diagnosis and prognosis of heart disease. The center integrates engineering, physics, and cardiovascular medicine to fulfill its mission of advancing cardiovascular imaging.
Key Research Areas
• AI-driven CMR solutions and value-based AI in heart disease.
• Exercise cardio-pulmonary MRI for phenotyping cardiovascular, pulmonary,
and skeletal muscle physiology, tissue composition, and energetics in
cardiovascular disease
• Using AI and imaging techniques to understand the mechanisms of
cardiovascular disease
Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
The Sr. CRC will oversee research projects including:
Regulatory Compliance: Managing IRB and IACUC approvals (5% effort)
Patient Coordination: Screening and enrolling patients for ongoing studies and preparing them for their research CMR exams; Collecting and storage of all specimens. (70% effort)
Data: Handling research data, budgets, and lab operations, including purchasing (10% effort)
Collaboration: Serving as a key liaison with internal and external research partners. (5% effort)
Research Support: Working closely with PI and study team to extract clinical information from EPIC for all study participants. (10%)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
1-3 years of related work experience in a medical setting; clinical research setting preferred.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Working knowledge of computerized applications, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Interest in working with a highly motivated, interdisciplinary research team in a small research environment

Independence of Action: Ability to follow general instructions and procedures as provided. Work is monitored by supervisor/manager.
Written Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers.
Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.
Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.
Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.
Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Physical Nature of the Job:
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move throughout the hospital campus.
