Job Description:

Join our team! We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide comprehensive care to patients with colorectal conditions.

Role:

  • Clinic-based with some inpatient responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with colorectal surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient assessments for colorectal issues (IBD, cancer, hemorrhoids, etc.).
  • Pre- and post-operative care (wound assessments, ostomy education).
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Evaluate and treat anorectal complaints (hemorrhoidal banding, abscess drainage, etc.).
  • Evaluate patients with uncomplicated diverticulitis.
  • Patient education on diagnoses, treatments, and recovery.
  • Coordinate referrals (GI, oncology, wound care).
  • Inpatient consultation/management.
  • Independent patient panel and wound care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC.
  • Participate in quality improvement and research.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Master’s in Nursing program or a Physician Assistant program
  • Certification and current NP or PA license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • DEA
  • MCSR

Preferred:

  • 2+ years APP experience (surgical/colorectal preferred).
  • Excellent communication & critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ostomy care, wound management, and oncology knowledge.
  • EPIC EMR familiarity.
