Job Description:
Join our team! We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide comprehensive care to patients with colorectal conditions.
Role:
- Clinic-based with some inpatient responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colorectal surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient assessments for colorectal issues (IBD, cancer, hemorrhoids, etc.).
- Pre- and post-operative care (wound assessments, ostomy education).
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Evaluate and treat anorectal complaints (hemorrhoidal banding, abscess drainage, etc.).
- Evaluate patients with uncomplicated diverticulitis.
- Patient education on diagnoses, treatments, and recovery.
- Coordinate referrals (GI, oncology, wound care).
- Inpatient consultation/management.
- Independent patient panel and wound care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC.
- Participate in quality improvement and research.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Master’s in Nursing program or a Physician Assistant program
- Certification and current NP or PA license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- DEA
- MCSR
Preferred:
- 2+ years APP experience (surgical/colorectal preferred).
- Excellent communication & critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ostomy care, wound management, and oncology knowledge.
- EPIC EMR familiarity.
