Job Description:

Lead Advanced Practice Provider - Neurosurgery

Join our team and lead our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in Neurosurgery!

About the Role:

As the Lead APP, you'll play a vital role in optimizing our APP team's contribution to our Neurosurgery division. You'll focus on strategic planning, personnel management, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

  • Partner with Division Chair & Executive Director on divisional goals.

  • Oversee APP fellowship, research, and QI projects.

  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives.

  • Personnel Management:

  • Conduct performance evaluations & provide mentorship.

  • Manage hiring, onboarding, and training of new APPs.

  • Address corrective actions as needed.

  • Scheduling & Operations:

  • Create APP schedules & track time off.

  • Manage sick calls & ensure patient care coverage.

  • Coordinate NP/PA student placements.

  • Education & Compliance:

  • Facilitate APP education on billing & coding.

  • Attend & contribute to division meetings.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Leadership:

  • Strong clinical skills & ability to lead by example.

  • Ability to influence change & foster team growth.

  • Proactive in identifying & pursuing opportunities.

  • Communication:

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal:

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams & patients.

  • Clinical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of clinical procedures & protocols.

  • Confidentiality:

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience.
