As our Hematology/Oncology Infusion Department continues to grow and expand, we are seeking a qualified candidate for our open Scheduler position.
Lahey Hospital & Medical Centeris a UMass Chan Medical Center teaching hospital with over 5,000 employees and 345 beds.Conveniently locatedin Burlington, MA. Colleagues benefit from free parking, the proximity of the Burlington Mall, as well as many great eating establishments only a short walk away. The location is perfect if you want the fast pace and expertise of Boston without the traffic and parking challenges.
Essential Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Schedules patients for medical, hematology/oncology infusion appointments
2. Communicates schedules on a daily basis. Reviews with advisor. Updates staff with revisions. Posts schedules.
3. Acts as liaison to with internal departments and external resources and agencies.
4. Coordinates to ensure all paperwork is complete and preauthorization has been obtained. Obtains and processes referrals for procedures.
5. Oversees documenting of procedures and resources. Maintains and tracks service and procedure to ensure procedures and equipment usage are captured. Generates log for review and enters revisions. Coordinates to ensure all paperwork is complete and preauthorization has been obtained.
6. Contracts with vendors to coordinate delivery of equipment. Coordinates delivery to patient's residence. Ensures resources for procedures are maintained and available for scheduled procedures
Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
