Job Description:
Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant
Lahey Hospital and Medical Center
Join our Plastic Surgery teamas a skilled Physician Assistant to work independently and collaboratively with plastic surgeons and other healthcare professionals. You'll provide crucial pre- and post-operative care, manage clinic flow, handle inpatient needs, and oversee wound care to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Pre & post-op assessments for cosmetic & reconstructive surgery patients.
Participate in consultations & treatment planning; educate patients.
Support surgical planning & coordinate pre-surgery steps.
Manage post-surgical complications with surgeons.
Document care in Epic EMR.
Coordinate care with other specialties (oncology, dermatology, etc.).
Educate patients/families on procedures, post-op & wound care, scar management.
Inpatient evaluation & management of complex wounds.
Participate in quality improvement, research (as applicable).
Qualifications:
MA PA License.
MA Prescriptive Authority (controlled substances) & DEA registration.
2+ years APP experience preferred; surgical, wound care, or plastic surgery experience a plus.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, time management, & interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
