Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)

Outpatient Lung Nodule Program

Pulmonary & Critical Care Division

Beth Israel Lahey Health – Lahey Hospital and Medical Center

About the Role:

Join our innovative Lung Health Clinic as an NP or PA. Focus on early detection & management of incidental lung nodules using cutting-edge AI/NLP technology. This is a full-time role which will be in-person to begin, and has potential for some remote work in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AI-Driven Nodule Identification (Potential Remote Work):
    • Use AI/NLP tools to screen imaging reports system-wide.
    • Identify patients needing specialty evaluation for incidental lung nodules.
    • Coordinate care with PCPs and patients.
    • Collaborate with Nurse Navigator. (Approx. 2 days/week)
  • Clinic Visits
    • Telehealth: Conduct virtual visits (review imaging, patient education, smoking cessation, surveillance planning, risk stratification).
    • In-Person: Perform clinical evaluations, initiate management, order tests, coordinate referrals.
    • Collaborate with Pulm, Thoracic Radiology, Interventional Pulm teams.
    • Manage general pulmonary patients as needed. (Approx. 3 days/week)
  • Program Growth: Potential to expand into managing advanced emphysema, interstitial lung abnormalities, Early ILD, and pulmonary hypertension.

Qualifications:

  • Active NP or PA license/certification.
  • Master's degree (MSN or PA Studies).
  • Experience in Pulm, Oncology, Primary Care, or Preventive Medicine preferred, but not required – full training provided.
  • Strong interpersonal & organizational skills.
  • Comfort working independently within a tech-supported team.
  • EPIC experience helpful.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday.
  • Hybrid: Mix of on-site clinic, remote virtual clinic, and remote navigation/coordination.
