Job Description:

Elevate your career as a Vascular Surgery PA with Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

As a key member of our Vascular Surgery team, you'll be involved in:

Outpatient care:

• Evaluating new patients with various vascular problems.
• Facilitating workups and therapeutic procedures for aortic, cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, hemodialysis access, and venous disorders.
• Following up with treated patients.
• Providing urgent evaluations for unscheduled "drop-in" patients.

Inpatient responsibilities:

• Occasional care for vascular surgery patients at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

Assisting in outpatient procedures:

• Including temporal artery biopsies, vein ablations, phlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

You'll assume major responsibility for direct patient care, working in close collaboration with attending vascular surgeons, residents, and the entire vascular surgery team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Timely initial assessment, diagnostic evaluation, management, and follow-up of vascular patients.
• Participating in interdisciplinary patient evaluation and management, adhering to clinical practice guidelines.
• Ensuring coordinated and continuous care for vascular patients across all settings.
• Providing patient and family-centered care, including education, counseling, and referrals.
• Contributing to the interdisciplinary team through collaborative and innovative practices.

Schedule & Qualifications:

After an orientation period (30-90 days, depending on experience), you'll work a full-time schedule, collaborating with physicians, fellows, residents, and other PAs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered Massachusetts State Physician Assistant License with prescriptive authority.
• Applicable degree from a PA program.
• Certification by a national board certifying organization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in patient care.
• Training and/or experience in outpatient care, including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and management of patients with significant vascular disease.
