The Director of Talent Acquisition is a senior strategic leader responsible for overseeing talent acquisition activities across a set of identified entities/business units which may include Nursing, Clinical Support, Allied Health, Research and Non-Clinical positions. This role is accountable for driving high-quality, inclusive hiring practices while leading a high-volume recruiting team committed to delivering exceptional service to hiring managers and candidates alike. The ideal candidate will bring vision, operational expertise, and innovative thinking to strengthen our talent acquisition infrastructure, aligning hiring outcomes with organizational goals and values.

Job Description:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Execution: Design and execute cost-effective talent acquisition strategies to source, evaluate, and hire top-tier, diverse candidates. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Process Optimization: Lead with a continuous improvement mindset, involving the talent acquisition team and hiring managers in identifying process improvements in our hiring practice that will reduce the time to fill and increase the quality of candidates/new hires, such as standardization of the hiring process and improved interviewing tools. Implement tools and methodologies to standardize hiring practices and improve interview effectiveness.
  • Metrics & Performance: Establish and manage KPIs, dashboards, and service-level agreements to track performance, cost-effectiveness, and impact. Regularly review data to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR colleagues to understand workforce needs and provide expertise on current and emerging talent trends.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless, professional, and engaging recruitment experience for every candidate, from initial contact through onboarding. Collaborate with HR partners to support a smooth transition from hire to orientation.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Oversee adherence to internal policies and government regulations, including EEO compliance and progress against Affirmative Action Plan goals.
  • Budget Oversight: Plan, manage, and monitor the department budget, ensuring optimal resource utilization and ROI on recruitment initiatives.
  • Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver tools, resources, and training that empower team members and hiring managers to execute effective, equitable hiring practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Business Administration, HR preferred.
  • 6-10 years related work experience required, and 3-5 years supervisory/management experience required.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Experience leading the implementation of system-wide recruitment technology and/or recruitment marketing initiatives, including ATS, SEO Sites, Career sites; pre-employment assessments; SkillSurvey reference tool, etc.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR leadership experience in healthcare organizations and/or in large/complex organizations.
  • LEAN or Six Sigma experience improving HR processes and customer experience.
  • Workday experience is a plus.
