Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic Central Supplies Team?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Case Cart picking within the Operating Room (OR) / Central Sterile to promote efficiency and effective patient care. Manage customer communication of instrument inventory processes to ensure optimal customer service standards are met.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness in job tasks.
  • Cultivate working relationships with perioperative nursing staff to produce positive outcomes regarding case pulling instrumentation ordering, preference card accuracy, and supply availability.
  • Works cohesively with the Materials Management department to maintain fiscally responsible surgical inventory and applies and expands perpetual inventory as indicated.
  • Recommends potential opportunities for cost containment and analyzes cost, revenue and volume trends.
  • Functions a Central Sterile Tech, including Decontamination, Assembly and Sterilization roles as outlined under the Central Sterile Technician Job Description.
  • Communicate daily with surgical staff, scheduler, surgery management, vendors, and physicians to ensure availability of supplies and surgical instrumentation for scheduled cases.
  • Serve as liaison between the Operating Room staff/management. 

Scheduled Hours: 40 hrs/wk

Work Shift: Day - Rotating call weekends and holidays.

Education Required: High school diploma required. Graduate from Surgical Technology program

and/or Clinical training required.

Required Licensure/Certifications: Surgical or SPD certified technologist.

Experience Preferred: 2+ years’ experience in medical purchasing/materials management/surgical environment.
