Shayla Murphy will continue to perform a dual role as Rehab Aide and Front desk Clinical Secretary 2. Because of her dual role with Rehab aide duties, she will be responsible for all Clinical Secretary 2 duties with the exception of contacting and obtaining insurance authorizations or denials.

Job Description:

Clinical Secretary II - 40 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri, 6:45a-3:15p)

The Clinical Secretary II greets patients, schedule visits, and perform all duties that relate to the attainment of correct patient insurance information, certifications and re-certifications. Responsible for forwarding correspondences to other departments and physician offices as directed and completing all steps in the sequence for registering and submitting charges for patient service.Answers phonesand handle all incoming requests.  Run schedules and ensure all orders for exams are correct. 

Qualifications:

  • Must be self-directed and have strong communication and computer skills, be organized, able tomulti-taskand prioritize work with attention to detail.

  • 1-3 yrsclerical/secretarialexperience in a medical office/healthcare setting and experience with insurance claims, authorization and denials required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
