40 hours day shift per week, must have some access to all shifts each week, rotating weekends and holidays

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Provides overall technical supervision of CT services.
•    Assists in developing staffing patterns, schedules, workflows, protocols, and troubleshooting issues.
•    Participates in purchasing decisions for CT equipment and supplies.
•    Performs all technical and mechanical aspects of CT, including positioning and technical factors, taking into account patient’s age, condition and ability to communicate.
•    Assesses and recognizes normal/abnormal anatomy/pathology, tailoring scope of exam as indicated.
•    Reviews exams with Radiologist as necessary, contributing technical and professional knowledge.
•    Displays knowledge of principles of CT and effectively screens patients to eliminate risk.
•    Responds appropriately to medical emergencies and displays ability to function effectively and appropriately in stressful situations.
•    Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients, patient’s families, staff, physicians and medical office personnel.
•    Proficient in venipuncture.
•    Demonstrates knowledge of what constitutes appropriate clinical history for each CT exam.
•    Participate in ACR reaccreditation process, Lung Screening program, Code Stroke process and monitoring

Education/Experience Required:
•    At least 7 years CT experience 
•    CT and X-ray registrations 
•    Experience with Philips and GE equipment preferred
•    Ability to work at a quick pace with minimal supervision.
•    Ability to concentrate and prioritize in multi-task setting.
•    Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to staff and function as a supervisor. 
•    Graduate of AMA approved Radiology Technology program and a CT license with permission to work in the state of Massachusetts.

Registration/Certification:

•     R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT).
•    Current Massachusetts license, Radiography and CT.
•    BLS certification.
•    Registration as CT Technologist.


Physical/Environmental Requirements:
This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.
