Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops performance plans and identifies issues.
- Collaborates with Director on performance of all personnel, interviews and initiates personnel action forms.
- Develops and updates departmental policies and procedures.
- Monitors, evaluates and modifies staffing. Prepares schedules and ensures adequate coverage.
- Establishes and maintains all department records and reports. Enter schedules into Kronos and manage timecards.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings as well as serves on other committees as necessary.
- Provides input into budget.
- Attends educational meetings and National Seminars to maintain CEU’s and keep abreast of current practices.
- Handles and assigns vacation requests and overtime usage.
- Performs daily rounding to ensure flow and real-time problem solving of daily clinic flow.
- Participates in growth and problem solving of clinical and operational issues
- Provide support to medical staff, nursing, central scheduling and patients for issues relating to clinic and patient outcomes.
- Establishes and maintains unit based education and unit based learning, new chemotherapy drugs and updates in practice.

Education/Experience Required:
- BSN required
- Five+ years’ experience as an Oncology Nurse
- Three (3) years as a supervisor is preferred.
Registration/Certification:
- Certification in Oncology/Biotherapy. OCN required
