Job Summary: The Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician assists the Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment Lead and the Specialty Pharmacy Pharmacists the accurate and timely fulfillment and delivery of Rx orders.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. All aspects of the pharmacy fulfillment process including ordering and processing inventory, storage and rotation of stock, inventory, accurately filling/counting Rx orders, and processing payment utilizing the POS system.
  2. Processing, tracking, and communicating all Mail/delivery of Rx orders including addressing problems/issues with delivery process.
  3. Maintaining and procuring inventory of packaging and pharmacy supplies.
  4. Routine cleaning and maintenance of pharmacy and loading dock areas, including pharmacy equipment.
  5. Enforcement of HIPAA and PHI regulations during delivery process.
Required Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. License Certfied Pharmacy Technician required., and Certificate 1 Pharm Tech Cert Board preferred.
  3. 1-3 years related work experience required.
  4. Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. 340B experience.
  2. Specialty Pharmacy experience.
  3. Inventory, delivery, and/or Rx fulfillment experience.

  2. Problem Solving: Ability to address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge and skills based on general precedents.
  3. Independence of Action: Ability to set goals and determines how to accomplish defined results with some guidelines. Manager/Director provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  4. Written Communications: Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.
  5. Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.
  6. Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations.
  7. Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.
  8. Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s). Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.

Physical Nature of the Job:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
