Job Description:

Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 223-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area. 

Contributes to the Hospital’s mission by performing the dual role of Central Sterile Technician and staff supervisor.  This leadership position ensures that the Central Sterile employees at a particular site are providing and meeting the sterile materials needs of surgical services in compliance with applicable regulations and to quality levels. As a member of the Hospital’s leadership team provides day-to-day supervision to guide staff toward achieving the Hospital’s success factor goals and their associated initiatives.  This leadership position will impact patient safety and will also impact employee satisfaction by making Winchester Hospital an employer of choice. As part of the Central Materials Services team, the Supply Trainer position functions in the dual capacity of trainer and expert with the expectation of cross-covering as a technician as needed.

High School Graduate or equivalent is required. Graduate of a Sterilization Technician program is preferred.

Two years as a Central Sterile Technician experience required.  One year of prior supervisory experience may be considered in lieu of the third year of CMS experience with surgical Instrumentation/equipment experience. Prior supervisor experience preferred.

Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) is required within 1 year from hire.

As part of the CMS and Surgical Services teams, this position functions in the dual capacity of supervisor and Central Sterile Tech, taking on patient assignments regularly.
