Manages activities within the Physical Therapy off site locations including interviewing, orientation, hiring, evaluations, and discipline. Ensures the maintenance of existing equipment. Coordinates departmental supply acquisition and utilization and ensures maintenance of proper stock levels. Reviews and investigate patient satisfaction issues. Assists in the budget process and assures compliance with established policies and procedures. Includes 50-60% of time towards caseload of patients.

Job Description:

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required. 

Education Preferred:Master’s degree or Doctorate preferred.

Experience Required: At least 10 years’ experience as a physical therapist required. At least 5 years of supervisory experience required.

Experience Preferred: At least 10 years supervisory experience preferred.

LicenseRequiredMassachusetts Physical Therapy License

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manages and oversees the staff at the off-site locations to ensure they are doing their part to provide our patients with the most effective, efficient, safe, timely and patient-centered services possible. Provides day-to-day support and communicates remotely with the off-site locations to oversee the operations.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities to increase patient volume.
  • Provides operational insights and trend data to the Administrative Director to help build comprehensive and accurate short and long-term strategic and operational plans for the departments.
  • Manages the scheduling of staff effectively. Makes recommendations concerning optimum short and long-term staffing for the department.
  • Interviews, hires, orients, trains, coaches, directs and evaluates staff. Selects the best possible candidates.
  • Provides ongoing performance feedback to employees to effectively coach for optimum short and long-term performance, including but not limited to, completing comprehensive, accurate, and on-time performance evaluations.
  • Assists in developing and implementing clear and concise department policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the department.
