Job Description:
Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top Massachusetts recognized 223-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area.
- Planning and implementing patient care and performance improvement in the unit, demonstrating clinical expertise.
- Managing patient flow, handling crises, directing staff, and making daily operational decisions, overseeing personnel.
- Mentoring staff, ensuring care meets standards, participating in rounds, and collaborating on patient care plans.
- Monitoring operations for fiscal responsibility and coordinating staffing.
- Assuming the role of a staff nurse when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Required:
- Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited RN program
- Graduate of a state-approved and/or accredited RN program required
- BSN required within 5 years.
Experience Required:
- At least two years of work experience as a nurse and one year clinical experience relevant to the unit’s patient population.
Preferred: Membership in professional nursing organization
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:
Required: Massachusetts Registered Nurse License
Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty
