This staff position impacts patients by continuously improving patient satisfaction by maintaining dignity and confidence during a difficult and emotional time.

Education:

Required:  High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Experience:

Required: Prior healthcare and/or retail

Other Skills/Knowledge:

Required: For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS: 

Required: Licensed Cosmetologist

LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:  N/A

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the Associate Director of the Community Health Institute
  • Not responsible for supervising the work of others

JOB FUNCTIONS

As part of the Community Health Institute team, the Wig Consultant:

  • Select, fit and customize wigs for clients during personal consultation.
  • Review available styles both in stock and through catalogs to determine appropriate styles.
  • Review with client service provided, payment or insurance information.
  • Maintain inventory by monitoring product levels and order and stocking supplies needed.
  • Documents billing by completing necessary forms and forwarding documentation to Winchester Physician Associates.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment to enhance patient satisfaction and a culture of safety.
