Utilizes compassion, empathy, and respect to collaborate with a multi disciplinary team to achieve expected outcomes and meets the highest level of professionalism consistent with a Magnet Hospital. This staff position will have an impact on improving patient safety by providing excellent mentoring and training of clinical staff in the first week of training in the Clinical Assistant Training Program (CATP).

Job Description:

Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top Massachusetts recognized 223-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area. 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a state-approved and/or accredited RN program required.

  • Valid State of Massachusetts Registered Nurse license

Preferred: BSN strongly encouraged.

Work Experience:

  • At least two years in clinical nursing

  • Experience as a preceptor or trainer

   Preferred:  At least two years of health education

LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:  Basic Life Support

As part of the Center for Healthy Living team, you will provide

  • training and mentoring to clinical assistant (CA) trainees on patient care, which may include personal hygiene tasks with a patient, proper lifting, and checking vital signs on the clinical site.

  • evaluations regarding trainees' abilities.

  • a teaching style to meet the needs of the trainees.

  • collaboration with other Nurse Aide Training Specialists and Training Assistants to keep class content consistent.
