Position Summary: Under the supervision of the department Manager and following established procedures, provides a variety of duties relating to the shipping, receipt, inspection, and distribution of packages.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1) Unloads trucks, checking for correct number of packages, and noting any damage or shortages.
2) Opens packages and inspects contents against the packing list to verify receipt of the correct items and quantities. Reports or records variances, and make entries into a computerized system (PeopleSoft).
3) Inputs individual receipts into PeopleSoft, prints delivery documents, and matches them to packages.
4) Delivers packages to departments, obtaining signature where required.
5) Packages and ships items according to established procedures, and processes the shipment using a vendor’s computer-based system (UPS World Ship).
6) Maintains files for packing slips and delivery slips.
7) On a weekly basis fills Liquid Nitrogen tanks for Urology and General Internal Medicine.
8) Delivers and changes oxygen tanks to clinical departments on a call down/as needed basis.
9) Incorporates Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles , Mission Statement and Goals into daily activities.
10) Complies with all Lahey Clinic Policies.
11) Complies with behavioral expectations of the department and Lahey Clinic.
12) Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
13) Demonstrates an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.
14) Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.
15) Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
16) Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.
17) Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: none required.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Alpha-numeric filing. Shipping & Receiving procedures. Basic computer skills for data entry. In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.

Pay Range:
$18.50 – $24.90
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
